Tai Chi

T’ai Chi Ch’üan is a Chinese martial art, promoting health, physical strength, coordination, and martial skill. Forms and breathing exercises are practiced to give students an understanding of body mechanics and relaxation. Additionally, self-defense applications of the form are taught, both to advance martial skill as well as to further understand the various forms of Tai Chi.

Our term time sessions are held on Wednesdays between 20:00 - 22:00 and Saturdays between 09:00 - 11:00 in the Derwent Performance Studio. Your first two sessions are free, so come along and try! If you decide to join us on a regular basis, you can pay £15 to attend one session per week, or £25 to attend both sessions. These fees are paid each term. You can also pay £3 for individual sessions.
