Fetsoc York is a progressive, sex-positive society where people who are curious about kink can get together and talk shop. We encourage curiosity, consent and best practice through our workshops and discussion groups, and have "the world’s most interesting show and tell nights".
Fetsoc is an example of the pioneering attitude that the University of York has towards sexuality and sexual education.
SHIBARI WORKSHOPS: Safe, fun, non-sexual environment for paid members to learn the beautiful art of Japanese Rope Bondage! Rope, riggers, bunnies and teaching provided, no need to come with a partner.
CURIOSITY NIGHTS: Organised events celebrating kink geekiness on a given kink with speakers from within Fetsoc on topics like petplay, femdom, wax play and many more! Fantastic fun for anyone who's just that tiny bit curious about "what kinky people actually DO?!"
KINKY COFFEE: Super-chill daytime meetups. No pressure, no hassle, just good food, good coffee and a nice chilled natter
DISCUSSION GROUPS: Fascinating nights of non-judgemental guided discussion on controversial or enlightening kink-related topics
SOCIAL EVENTS: These range from one-off events such as Christmas Parties or film screenings (including a Halloween Rocky Horror Picture Show special). We also host nights out in town and the occasional tea party!
We usually meet in the evening, twice a week (or more). Days and venues vary. You can sign up to our newsletter to get regular updates by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Joining student groups will be available again from September 2018.
