HistSoc Presents: Kraków!
Starts: 18 March 2019 13:05 pm
Ends: 23 March 2019 18:15 pm
Location: Krakόw, Poland
If you want to enjoy some of the cheapest pints in Europe, meet new people or simply wish to see more of the world, then HistSoc’s Easter trip to Kraków is definitely for you! We'll be staying at the beautiful Royal Castle Center Hostel located in the city’s historic Old Town, and within walking distance of Wawel Royal Castle and the Main Square. Whilst in Kraków, we’ll be exploring some of its vast history, visiting St Mary's Basilica, The Sukiennice, St Florian’s Gate and Oskar Schindler's Factory, while also having the opportunity to visit both concentration camps at Auschwitz. Therefore, whether you are interested in medieval, early modern or modern history, you won’t be at a loss for things to see and do here. Kraków is also home to a vibrant nightlife, and as the committee are currently in the process of planning some great nights out, you'll be able to explore many of the city’s pubs and clubs during our stay!
One thing is for sure, you can expect to make some lasting memories with friends, both old and new, and broaden your historical knowledge by experiencing it first-hand. This is not a trip to miss!
