Welcome back to the final term at York for this year. Maybe there are less lectures this term but there is still plenty to do with exams and end of the year activities coming up.
One of the things you can do is nominate a staff member for an Excellence Awards. These are awards that are handed out by YUSU every year to staff members who have shown that they have gone above and beyond the call of duty to help students. It could be a lecturer who taught a very interesting module or had an egaging style. It could be a Postgrad who led a seminar particularly well. It could even be the department administrator who helps you submit your work on time. There is pretty much no limit on who can get an excellence award.
These awards are important because they show the power of the partnership we have with our lecturers. We as students are not just customers, we are here to learn the subject we love along with people who love learning as much as we do. These awards are a great way for us to show our recognition and love for the people who work to help us. The university immensley values these awards and really wants to see who students hold in high esteem.
If you wish to nominate someone then the link is here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1UPzjkwX7VcarPSYkSJNQpl31sB8gfr6eVy466xFklcY/viewform?c=0&w=1. You may nominate as many people as you wish, so please do so, as it makes a major difference for the university.
