Motion 4: Lobbying for the Hes East Social Catering Building

Proposed by Cem Turhan, 16/06/2011.

If you vote yes:

a) Currently there is only one café open on Heslington East, open only from 9-5.

b) Currently there is no bar facility on Heslington East.

c) Currently there is no cash point on Heslington East.

d) Currently there are well developed plans for a social catering building on Heslington East, which would have a bar and catering facility for students.

e) Currently there are over 600 students living on Heslington East and four fully working departments.

f) In 2012, Langwith College will move to Heslington East, increasing the amount of students living on that area of campus to over 1300.

g) The Courtyard, Vanbrugh bar and Derwent bar are all examples of successful social catering facility.
