Student Trustee
There are three positions for Student Trustees on the YUSU Trustee Board, to be elected when a vacancy arises. Each Trustee serves a two year term, unless they cease to be a student at the University of York within this time. Anyone standing for this position must not be barred from serving as a charity trustee (please see eligibility criteria on page X). In 2012 YUSU are electing one Student Trustee, to begin the role in July 2012.
Main Responsibilities
- Attend around six meetings of the Board per year;
- Prepare thoroughly for Board meetings, including reading all papers supplied beforehand;
- Take on additional roles on subcommittees of the Board as may be required;
- Attend the YUSU Annual General Meeting
- Act in accordance with the duties of a trustee as outlined by the Charities Commission (http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk)
