The Campaigns Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Students’ Union runs relevant, current and effective campaigns highlighting issues that are important to Union members and informed by active Union policy.

Main Responsibilities

• Organise, in conjunction with the other Officers and student representatives from colleges, campaigns which relate to the interests of all students;
• Assist in the running of any Union campaigns if required to do so by the Officer coordinating them;
• Keep Union members informed and motivated on political and social issues affecting the student body where Union policy exists mandating a certain position on the issue;
• Build networks between students, student groups and colleges to promote and run campaigns on certain issues;
• Prepare and ensure the appropriate publicity for all Union campaigns in conjunction with the President and the Marketing Team;
• Develop resources that may be used by Union members and officers for campaigning and ensure that these are well promoted to interested parties.
