Negotiation is a key skill both in the business world, but also in life. It is not about getting your own way, or giving in, it is about reaching an agreement, or a good outcome for all the parties concerned. This course will introduce you to negotiation skills and how to reach a win-win situation, whilst encouraging you to reflect on your own personal style and how you can use that to your best advantage when negotiating. This workshop will help you to answer questions such as 'Should I disclose a disability on a job application?' 'How could I present my disability in a positive way?' 'What might be the implications of disclosing or not?'
If you have special requirements for this workshop, please notify Careers in advance.
The workshop will take place in Meeting Room 1 at Careers. Just turn up.

If you are thinking about doing a Masters (or other postgraduate study), this session will guide you through issues to consider when making your decision, choosing a course, obtaining funding and making successful applications. No need to book - just turn up.

The University of York Boxing and MMA Societies are proud to present the first ever live sparring exhibition in the University! Come and see 12 boxing and Thai boxing bouts with boys and girls from the University of York. We are excited to have guests societies performing shows so watch this space for updates!
