Nightline
Nightline is a confidential listening and information service for students, open from 8pm until 8am every night during term time. Nightline is staffed each night by two trained volunteers; one male and one female when possible. All our volunteers are York students and include people from all disciplines and years. Volunteers are anonymous, and our organisation is based upon 100% confidentiality, so we don’t keep any records about our callers, and we won’t ask your name. We are a listening service and not a counselling service, so we won’t try to tell you what to do.
It's A Duck’s Life
This website is a project to share the welfare experiences of everyone at The University of York. It offers a forum for discussion and links page to useful points of contact, but its most important part is a bank of articles written about welfare by students for students. If you want quick confidential advice, if you want to stop everyone else making the same mistakes you have, or if you feel like everything in your world is a big pile of poo, remember It's A Duck’s Life.
