Equality & Diversity Home
Equal opportunities are taken very seriously at York. For the University's equality policies and campaigns, see the EO Office website.
YUSU pursues its aims and objectives with positive inclusion of the diverse needs of all students at its heart. This will include not only a firm commitment not to discriminate against a student or group of students on any grounds (including age, gender, race, religion, creed, sexual orientation, disability, marital status, class, unrelated criminal conviction or medical condition); but also a commitment to embrace that difference and celebrate that diversity.
With this in mind we not only expect students taking part in all Union activities to treat each other fairly and without discrimination, but we have a dedicated team of officers to actively promote diversity and campaign against inequality (what you might hear described as 'Liberation') - click on the links to their websites over on the left.
