Viva Voce
Viva Voca—meaning "word of mouth"—is a new volunteer project in the form of an audio magazine for the visually impaired. It’s just like any other magazine, except that the articles are read aloud and then put onto the internet for people to appreciate. The project requires writers and editors so it’s a great opportunity to gain some writing experience, particularly if you are interested in going into journalism, as your articles will be heard by people all over the country. This is also a fantastic opportunity to volunteer for a project that provides a much needed service, it’s current, and aimed at young people which is a much neglected service.
