Union General Meeting (12th Jun 2007)
A UNION BUDGET

Seconded by: Colin Hindson, Amy Foxton, Tom Moore, Rich Croker, Benjamin Griffiths and Matt Burton
This union notes:
(i) The requirement for an annual Union Budget.
(ii) The reduction in NUS Affiliation fees.
(iii) An increased income from NUS Extra, Your:Shop and Graduation Day Photography.
This union further notes:
(i) The increase in funding for student groups including JCRCs/HCSA, societies, the media, sports clubs and Nightline
(ii) Funding for a kitchen postering team for all student groups.
(iii) A development programme to update yusu.org
(iv) Increase in money for democracy with UGM publicity trebled
(v) A new environment budget area
(vi) Increased staff support in volunteering and the Academic and Welfare Service
This union believes:
(i) That money set aside for an audit and Union development will assist in the strategic plan of the Union.
(ii) That our additional income helps us provide student groups with the support they need
This union resolves:
(i) To pass the annual budget (which is viewable on-line <a href="http://www.yusu.org/union/docs/UnionBudget0708tobedebatedatUGM12June2007.pdf">here</a>).
(ii) To mandate 2007/08 Union Officers to carry out an audit and implement new areas (kitchen postering team)
(iii) To thank the Union Officers, staff, JCRC, society, club and media treasurers in producing the most complete and detailed Union budget to date.
