The Subways are a high-spirited alternative rock band, formed in 2002. Over the years they've become main stage regulars of the annual Reading and Leeds festivals and are well know for high energy live sets. With a rock pedigree unsurpassed by any recent summer ball act, and tracks which range from the frantic "Rock & Roll Queen" to the folk charming 'No Goodbyes', they're set to provide something special at this years' Summer Ball.
This teen star has been wowing audiences up and down the country with her unique style of music. With influences ranging from Soul, Jazz, R&B and Motown, Bromfield was the first artist to be signed to Amy Winehouse's record label Lioness Records in 2009.
Singularly a brilliant, hilarious, complex, entertaining individual, Darwin Deez writes songs that will make you want to bust out your dancing shoes while also cutting to that raw, emotional nerve. Don’t miss your chance to witness a rare insight into everything a pop star should be, and yet so rarely is, as Darwin Deez hits York.
NERO have become a big name in both the Drum and Bass and Dubstep scenes, often fusing both styles of music in their DJ sets. Their remix of the Streets' tune 'Blinded by the Lights' was a massive radio hit as well as a dancefloor smasher played by DJ's from Chase and Status to Tiesto. Their second single "Me & You" landed on BBC Radio 1's A List playlist and their recent single Guilt is enjoying an extended stretch at the top of NME's top 40.
