How SSHH is promoted
Promotion of SSHH
There are a number of ways in which the SSHH campaign is communicated-both to students and local residents.
Students
All YUSU event publicity contains the SSHH logo to ensure that there is a constant reminder about. Major events at the start of term are used to remind and ensure people leave venues and return home whilst respecting their neighbours.
YUSU purchase lollies and dispense them at the end of events as a novel way of ensuring students are quiet at the end of events and return home responsibly.
The JCRCs receive funding to ensure it goes on all their publicity-both on and off campus. They also are responsible for ensuring the message is conveyed at their college introductions for freshers. JCRCs also dispense lollies at the end of events.
Residents
We flyer the local area, to houses that are in the vicinity of the University to ensure residents are aware of what can be done if they are disturbed by students. Information is also contained and advertised in the ward newsletter occasionally and in the local press.
If you feel you or anyone you know would be interested in promoting the SSHH campaign please email sshh@yusu.org
