YUSU

York Sport membership costs £40, which is split between York Sport and the Sports Centre (with York Sport receiving £15 of every membership and the Sports Centre receiving £25). You need to have this membership before joining any of the clubs who all set their own individual membership rates as well.

These membership monies received by York Sport go straight back to sport through a variety of channels, for example, to the clubs in the form of their grant allocations, to pay for core hours in the Sports Centre, to funds that clubs can apply to throughout the year for things such as new club equipment and to pay BUCS affiliations and entry fees.

This membership is added to your university card, which then gives you access to the Sports Centre so you need not carry around a separate York Sport card.
