York Designer Outlet

The date has been set and York's teams are preparing to host their Lancaster opponents. Week 3 of summer term (Friday 13th May to Sunday 15th May) will see the greatest Roses ever. For the first time in the tournament's illustrious history one fixture will be hosted in a local stadium, a stage fit for Europe's largest inter-university tournament.

The whole weekend has a festival feel, with plenty of sport to watch and events to go to in the evening. After losing it in 2010 all of York will be looking to their sports teams to bring the Carter James Cup back home where it belongs.

Rugby Men's 1sts

The first time any match has been played at a stadium, and what better fixture than the ever popular and ever competitive Rugby 1sts. After yet another successful season, our boys promise to once again win big when it matters.

Huntingdon Stadium – 8pm

Match of the Day 2

American Football

Not uncommon to Roses history, the two opposing sports sabbs find themselves competing in the same fixture, this time on the Gridiron. After beating them in the regular season, our boys will be looking to do the double over the red rose.

22 Acres – 1pm

Men's Hockey 1sts

After a 2-2 draw last year, the men’s hockey match will once again be one of the closest of the tournament. Expect the interesting "sideline interaction" that hockey always seems to attract!

JLD Astro – 5pm

Match of the Day 2

Rowing

The sport that started the Roses tournament decades ago. After a controversial absence in 2010, both clubs will be looking to claim victory in the weekend's oldest tradition.

River Ouse – 1pm

Football Men's 1sts

The final fixture of the weekend and the world's favourite sport. It could all come down to this big fixture; expect big crowds and a lot more on the pitch.

22 Acres – 3pm

Match of the Day 2

Netball 1sts

One of the most popular fixtures every year in Roses. Despite being two leagues below, our girls will be showing the passion they're famous for and going for a huge upset.

The Tent – 1:30pm
