At YUSU we run a range of different elections over the course of each Academic Year, from college committees, Student Trustees and NUS Delegates all the way through to our own Officer Elections.

Current Elections:

College Committee & NUS Delegate Elections are NOW OPEN - Nominate Yourself Here

College Committee:

The college system is a major part of student life at York. Each of the nine colleges has its own distinctive identity, atmosphere, facilities and history -  with an elected Junior Common Room Committee (JCRC) or College Student Association (CSA).

Take a look at the individual college pages for more information about their committees.

You can also get in touch with Connor, our Student Opportunities Co-ordinator, on c.briggs@yusu.org if you have any questions.

NUS Delegate:

Every year, each union affiliated to the National Union of Students (of which York is one) sends a delegation to NUS National Conference, its highest decision-making body. Around 1000 delegates from across the country will be travelling to Brighton to come together to discuss policy, hold the NUS Officers to account and elect the Leadership of NUS for the 2017/18 year.

The NUS Conference is taking place from Tuesday 25th, to Thursday 27th April 2017 in Brighton - so keep those dates free if you're nominating yourself!

Take a look at our NUS Delegate Info Pack for more information.

You can also get in touch with Mike, our Democracy & Campaigns Co-ordinator, on democracy@yusu.org if you have any questions.
