University of York Students’ Union

In anticipation of the coming Law department at York and for existing
students who plan to convert to Law, the society was created to offer guidance,
form solid links between top practices and chambers, and offer skills sessions and mock interviews to aid those in the application process. The society also aims to provide many opportunities for social and professional networking.

The Law department headed by Professor Stuart Bell will be open for the
undergraduate LLB in October 2008. An MA in Human Rights Law is currently available for graduate students through the Politics department. For the time being however our focus is to provide representation and guidance to the many keen non-lawyers at York. If the society sounds like something you could benefit from, get invovled!
