Where do you work?

It’s pretty obvious but make sure the place you are revising in is suitable for your needs.  Make sure it has plenty of light and is airy. Nothing is surer to send you to sleep than stuffy, warm room!

Try whacking a plant in the room, they’re supposed to increase your productivity! If you find yourself being disturbed by friends or neighbours then put a do not disturb sign on the door.

Sometimes your bedroom can be a difficult place to work and it can be hard to sleep, work and live in one room! So try working in different spaces to vary your revision. It will also help keep your moods up as you will be in contact with other people regularly.

  • Junior Common Rooms

  • Outside on the grass if it is sunny!

  • In computer rooms

  • In the library silent work area if you need silence

  • The Quiet Place, near Heslington Hall is available for your usage. It isn’t just the big trees though; you can sign out keys from Derwent Porters Lodge to use the buildings for quiet study or relaxation.
