Money & Finance: Benefits and tax credits

Unfortunately some of the more lenient benefit arrangements that students could take advantage of twenty years ago (claiming jobseekers allowance over the summer for instance) are long since gone, and most students will not be able to get any benefits or tax credits outside of the general student support (although don't forget that on the average student income you're unlikely to be paying much tax at all)!

Some students (student with a disability, carers or students with dependents for instance) may be able to get benefits however - the University has some expert advice on this area so check out their website by clicking here for more information.
