There is a lot less to do during an event than you might think:

• Ensure that your stewards are happy, and rotate them periodically. Never let any position remain vacant without a steward or member of Doorsafe in place.
• Keep an eye on noise levels and ask the DJ to turn down if necessary. Also liase with our technical crew, who can monitor levels from their desk and reduce the volume if the DJ persists (as they often do).
• Order Pizzas and distribute to stewards. Doorsafe and our Technical Crew do not have to be included in this, but most events organisers feed them too. If your budget can't stretch to this, though, don’t feel obliged to do it.
