RAG Hitches presents: LOST!
If you have been on a previous hitchhike or have always wanted to go on one then this is for you. Instead of our usual hitch, this term we bring you LOST, a new event never done at York before.
LOST will involve being taken via minibus or coach to a secret location somewhere in the UK. It will then be a mad race to get back to York! The idea is to make it back to York for free by hitchhiking with cars or lorries or blagging trains etc. The first group to get back to YUSU will win an amazing prize!
We will be raising money for RAG’s core charities which are; St. Leonard’s Hospice, Water Aid, YUSU Volunteering, Invisible Children, The Island (how appropriate!!), and Marie Curie Cancer Care. This is done be raising sponsorship money from friends and relatives.
Sign-up will be online on the YUSU website, as was done for the Dublin hitch. We will also be having a welcome/information meeting very soon which we will message out about.
On sign-up there will be a £20 charge to cover your costs for the event. Then we will help you collect £60 of sponsorship. There will also be a prize for the person who raises the most money!
