Big Comedy Night 2008

Date: Sunday 19th October 2008

Time: 7:30pm

Location: Central Hall

YUSU presents a great end to your Welcome Week - a massive comedy event at Central Hall. Our stars this year are big names on the comedy circuit:

IVAN BRACKENBURY was nominated for best show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2007, once landed XFM with a £50,000 fine for some rather inappropriate comments, and was described by the Times as a "comedy genius".

PAUL SINHA has a Chortle Awards nomination for best breakthrough act under his belt, he's guested on the Now Show, and he's "the world's only gay Anglo-Bengali GP-turned-stand-up-comedian".

SEYMOUR MACE played Craig and Steve in BBC sitcom Ideal, and was described by the Scotsman as "always fun to watch, wilfully odd yet compellin".

and regular compere DAN NIGHTINGALE ("100mph bundle of energy" - the Manchester Evening News) will return to make sure things run smoothly.

Tickets are only £8.50 for a whole night of top-class comedy.

This event is in aid of Union funds.
