Union General Meetings
Union General Meetings are the soverign body of our Union and dictate policy to our Union Senate and Executive.
From this area you can read all the minutes that go to Senate to be ratified, and those of Senate that go to the UGM to be ratified. You can also read, in advance any motions submitted for a General Meeting.
UGM's occur between two and three times per term, and consist of a debate (usually in Goodricke, Vanbrugh or Langwith halls) followed by a 72-hour vote online (the following week).
To see examples of previous UGM's, or a summary of the policy passed within the last three years, see the left-hand menu. For those passed since October 2005 (when the online system was introduced) you'll be able to see the exact number of people voting and abstaining.
