Women’s Committee
Committee’s role is to:
a) promote and oversee the women’s liberation movement on campus
b) bring together different sections of the movement to provide coherency and better communications
c) represent groups with an interest in women’s liberation and to include them in the women’s campaign
d) support and advise the Women’s Officer(s)
e) show that women’s liberation can and should be pro-active, positive, productive and relevant
Members of Women’s Committee must self-define as women and, with the exception of the Women’s Officer(s) who is elected by cross campus ballot open to all ordinary members, are elected by a women only cross-campus ballot.
Its membership is:
a) Women’s Officer(s) (Chair)
b) a Black Women’s representative
c) a Lesbian, Bisexual and Trans Women’s representative
d) a Mature Women’s Student Representative
e) 6 Ordinary Members (elected by a cross-campus ballot)
f) a Press and Publicity representative
g) a Secretary
h) a Women’s Disability representative
