Save Our Porters

YUSU ran a campaign to 'Save the porters' in 2007, when the University had a staffing shortage and were forced to close some of the Porters' lodges on campus during the night.

The aim of the campaign was to highlight to University admin how important the Porters are to both Staff and Students alike, and the crucial welfare service they play in University life. 

YUSU succeeded and the University returned to a full staff compliment across all college Receptions.
