RAG UGM, Monday week 4

RAG will be hosting a UGM on Monday week 4 from 6pm in L/N/047. Everyone is very welcome to attend!

At the UGM RAG will be deciding on whether or not we open up voting for our five beneficiaries to all York students in an online vote. We will also be discussing the possibility of founding a merchandise position on the committee, and reviewing our constitution generally. Anyone who is interested in the way RAG is organized then do please come along!

READ Book Project York redistributes educational resources from UK schools to schools in Tanzania. We focus predominantly on the collection of Year 7-11 textbooks, however, this year we are also taking university textbooks as we will also be visiting the Open University and Regional Library so we can take University Level textbooks for the students there. Abu Ali Al-Hasan Ibn Haitham, known in the West by his latinised name, Alhazen, was born in Basra, Iraq in 960 AD. In developing the practice of testing a hypothesis by experiment, he endured imprisonment and the loss of his possessions.
