Sport President Officer Report, UGM Week 8

As we are getting towards the end of this year I have just been laying the foundations for Emily so that she can hit the ground running. Emily has been doing the timetabling for the clubs, while Roz, who is the new treasurer, Stash and I have been doing the new budgeting system which has been largely hassle free so hopefully that will be done pretty soon. We have also been doing the new club ratification system which is now all online, as well as having a colours meeting tomorrow to allocate colours as well as some interesting things such as club of the year and sports man and woman of the year. These are all new systems so it has been a huge amount of work to get them all up and running but they all seem to be doing ok. Speaking of colours, we have the York Sport dinner coming up on in Week 9 that seems to be going ok, as well as we are extending the York Sport Yearbook.
One thing I have been doing which is a little more than just laying down foundations is getting something started up for Emily next year, one of the principle things is communication with the alumni office because they give us lots of lovely money every year and we should probably be nicer to them. We are getting the alumni office in on this yearbook which is actually a year DVD and CD, two-disk set of York Sport’s greatest hits over the year.
