"Weekly Info", Summer Week 7: Elections Review, Continued
ON THE WAY OUT
The first letter addressed to "Tim Ngwena, President" arrived at the Union the other day; I am indeed on my way out. I only have a brief update this week...
ELECTIONS REVIEW
...which is simply to say that your opinions are requested in the Elections Review. As discussed a couple of months ago, I want to try and make sure that next year's Returning Officer doesn't have the same problems I do: so please stop by http://tinyurl.com/mvs8zn and let me know what you think.
THE BIG IDEA
Also, if you've got ideas for anything else, make sure you submit them to the Big Idea - the campaign we're running this week - either by writing them down and putting them in the boxes, or submitting them online. We might well be able to fix that little thing that's been bugging you all year.
THIS WEEK'S MEETINGS
I've been to Campus Development Steering Group, which makes decisions about the long-term future of the university; College Project Steering Group, which is ensuring that the new Goodricke College is going to be on time and fully functional; and the Online Accommodation Project Group, working on the new online application system for campus rooms. Most importantly, I went - along with Matt Burton to the university's Finance Committee and presented the union's budget.
And there we go.
