What do you want from assessment and feedback

Posted by Academic Assembly Chair, 23/01/2012.

Monday week 4 (30th January) at 6.30 pm in L/036 Academic Assembly will be discussing how to improve university assessment and feedback. Academic officer Graeme Osborne has decided to focus on reducing turnaround times and improving quality of feedback for the rest of this academic year. He will kick off this process in the assembly by asking students about their concerns and expectations, as well as outlining how he plans to achieve these goals.

There will also be opportunities to check that the Academic officer does his job and ask him questions about it. We will get reports on the progress on the case for YUSU changing its policy on student fees, the case for a campaign on printer credits and the other acadmic policies of the union.

Further issues that will be covered:

**Outreach activity by the academic officer**

**What can be done by the university's fall on the rankings?**

**Can the tuition fees rise be used to campaign for better teaching quality?**

You can find the full agenda here

Please have a look at the minutes of the last assembly here

If there are other academic issues that you want to see covered in the forthcoming assembly, please don't hesitate to submit them via the YUSU website, email me directly on academicchair@yusu.org or bring them along to the assembly. Also, if you have question(s) to the officer, but cannot attend the assembly for any serious reason, please email them to me.

Please bring yourself and your friends to L/037 at 6.30 Monday January 30th (week 4). That is in Langwith, almost next door to the main Courtyard entrance.

Best,

Tørris Rasmussen
