Adyne

Posted by Winifried Amoaku, 06/11/2010.

Adyne was formed and is run by a team of young dedicated diaspora from around the world to  'work on strategies to strengthen the development of a constructive dialogue between European and African societies'. In September 2010, YUSU Racial Equality Officer Winnie Amoaku went to a week long conference in Spain to contribute to writing the formation documents for this brand new organisation.

The vision of Adyne is 'A world where every African Diaspora youth in Europe can unite as global citizens and contribute to the sustainable development of both continents.' If you are  involved in youth work with African Diaspora or interested international development then have a look at Adyne's website and keep an eye out for opportunities to get involved. Next conference is in Libya in November. The objectives of this meeting are:

  • To discuss on effective mechanisms for the implementation, monitoring and follow up of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy and the next Action Plan

  • Bring together youth experts on Africa-Europe cooperation

  • Asses the progress on the implementation of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy and the First Action Plan

  • Strengthen the youth perspective on the review of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy

  • To contribute to the future political agenda of Africa-Europe relations (feed into the Heads of States Summit)

  • Exchange of ideas, projects, best practices in the field of Africa-Europe cooperation

  • To show and promote the key role youth organisations are playing in the development in the partnership and the implementation of the joint strategy
