The Lemon Press WIN NUS Best Student Media!
The Lemon Press was ratified as a YUSU society only a year ago, but three editions and a website later they are awarded the NUS 'Best Student Media' Award, pipping our very own Nouse and Cambridge's Varsity to the post.
The Lemon Press have worked extremely hard this year to establish themselves on the York media scene, and it is fantastic to see them receive national recognition for their efforts. Their truly original brand and humour impressed the NUS judges and entertained York's students this year, and as a society I know they have successfully battled through funding difficulties to get their satirical wit into the porters' lodges and corridors of our campus.
Congratulations to The Lemon Press and all involved in setting up and developing the society in its first year, York is very proud!
For two out of the three shortlisted publications to be YUSU societies demonstrates the continued strength of our student media and the great opportunities we offer to our students - long may this continue! Well done everybody :)
