Today has been a busy day! We have agreed the University's broad new Employability Strategy to present to University Senate. Once this has been agreed upon we can take it away and get down to the nitty-gritty action points and useful practical solutions which thousands of you came up with during We Are Golden Employability Week last term.
Things take time around these parts in order to do them well, and although we're doing lots of work to prepare students graduating this year for their next steps, we're concentrating on a really good strategy which will carry us into the top 5 destination data and aim for a soar in sustained student satisfaction with employability provision here at York in the coming years.
Your society activities, sports commitments, academic experience, volunteering, representation, campaigning, fundraising, event planning, enterprise and all the work that goes on in colleges and which will transfer to your planning at this time for the new intake of Freshers; every project the you work so hard to develop are all part of what makes you a unique and employable York graduate; we are now looking at an Employability Strategy that will embrace your student experience and carry you towards reaching your aspirations beyond the University of York!
We'll keep you updated on progress and let us know how you're doing too!
