Elmo’s Elections Countdown!
Hi all!
We know loads of you can’t wait to get involved in the YUSU elections and the good news is, now you can!
Nominations are now open! You have until 12pm on Friday 26th February (week 7) to pick your position and complete your online nomination form.
To help you do this there are exec drop-ins from 5-6pm on Monday 22nd & Wednesday 24th (week 7) in the YUSU Office at The Student Centre. These are an informal opportunity for you to quiz the officers about their roles and maybe get some ideas for you own manifesto...
These meetings are not compulsory for you to attend – that comes later!
On the website there is also an Elections Handbook which contains everything you need to know about running in the election from the rules and deadlines to campaigning and drafting your manifesto.
There is also a Compulsory Candidates Briefing on Monday 1st March at 5.30pm (week 8) in D056 – This is for everyone that has successfully nominated themselves and is an opportunity for you to clarify the rules and ask questions before the fun of campaigning can really start!
