Volunteering opportunity in Arts and Marketing
The City of York Council is planning its annual Fiesta Festival, on June 5th 2010. Fiesta is a celebration of the people of York and uses creative arts and activities to encourage people to have a voice. We are currently looking for 2-3 volunteers to work on the marketing for the festival. You would be fully supported by the Arts and Festivals Officer and the Marketing Co-ordinator. With guidance and support you will put together a dynamic plan for promoting the festival and will have to opportunity to get involved in commissioning design and print, press releases, distribution, audience research and web promotions. This would require a commitment of roughly one day per week for three months. Travel expenses and costs to be covered where agreed. This is a fantastic piece of CV flair!

You could include things such as what area of study you are undertaking, what other interests and hobbies you have, why you are interested in this opportunity and whether you have an interest in any of the following; community projects, community arts, event management, marketing, festivals, audience research, etc.
If successful we will be holding informal interviews at the University on Wed 24th Feb (TBC).
