YUSU Fair 2 TOMORROW!!
We should all be proud and excited that YUSU's activities are amongst the most active and successful in the country; over 7,500 students (well over half of our student population) are already signed up to our societies this year! Make the most of the opportunity!
As a student in 2010, you need to look at more than just academic qualifications to increase your employability. We've put on YUSU Fair 2, in conjunction with 'Employability Week - We Are Golden' in Week 6, to give you a mid-year chance to get valuable skills and experience by joining YUSU's societies, sports clubs, committees and volunteering projects.
Think carefully about which activities will help you develop the skills you want and need. Remember, it's not just 'how fast you can swim' or 'how well you can draw', it's the communication, teamwork, negotiation or leadership skills (to name but a few!) that you develop by being part of the activity.
Make sure you follow up by going to the first activity next week, and remember that our activities are open to everyone - any age, nationality, sexuality, course, college, undergrad or postgrad... don't miss out!
