Wednesday to friday week 10, drop off any unperishable unopened items to any JCR.
2 x Assistant Project Coordinator - Help the Project Coordinators with the general management and running of MIM. Jobs may include: help with scheduling, attending sessions and recruiting new volunteers. You and I will be working closely with the Project Coordinators, so you need to be organised and have good communication skills.
Secretary - Will take minutes at committee meetings, as well as helping to respond to emails from volunteers. Ideal for someone who is organised and wants to meet loads of new people.
Assistant Treasurer -You will eventually take over from the current treasurer. Until then, you will shadow and help the current treasurer with the management of the MIM bank accounts. Ideal for someone who is organised, good with numbers and a good communicator.
Assistant Publicity Officer- Will help the Publicity Officer advertise Minds in Motion activities, which may sometimes involve making posters. Ideal for someone who is creative and organised.
Assistant Fundraising Officer - You will eventually take over from the Fundraising Officer. Until then, you will help arrange fundraising events, as well as helping with other tasks. Ideal for someone who is creative and a good communicator.
Harmony Cafe Caterers - At our Harmony Cafes once a month, we have a free buffet for our visitors. We are looking to pay for some volunteers to carry out the Food Hygiene Course (online), so that you are able to prepare food for future cafes. This will be on an infrequent basis and more as a reserve. Ideal for those who like food and enjoy preparing food.
Restoration Assistant- Team Leader Restoration involves encouraging those at the units to get involved in restoring old pieces of furniture. You will eventually take over from the Restoration team leader and until then will attend sessions, and help them with activities and organisation.
Dance and Movement Assistant Team Leader -Dance and Movement involves mobility exercises and playing various games with those at the units. You will eventually take over from the team leader, and will attend sessions and help them put on activities.
Singing Assistant Team Leader- Singing involves getting a group of volunteers together, and encouraging the day visitors/residents to join in with the singing. You will eventually take over from the team leader and should be someone who has a relatively strong voice. If you can play piano also, that would be a bonus.
Reminiscence Assistant Team Leader -Reminiscence involves talking about different topics and triggering different memories. You will eventually take over from team leader, and will involve being creative and thinking of new activities to carry out.
Interactive Music Assistant Team Leader- Interactive Music involves encouraging those in the units to play along with various instruments. You will eventually take over from the team leader and you should be a musical person, who can on occasion also play music to the day visitors/residents.
Arts and Crafts Assistant Team Leader - Arts and Crafts involves various creative activities, ranging from making a collage to decorating gingerbread men. You will eventually take over from the team leader and should be someone who is creative and imaginative.
