Sports Volunteer Programme
Graduate recruiters are increasingly looking for more out of their applicants than just a degree. What better way to boost your CV than by working with kids in sport?
What's more, in association with the coach education scheme, we can help you gain your coaching qualifications, and pay up to 80% of the cost of your course. The table below shows how much you could save by using your qualification for volunteer work or to help university clubs.
Use of qualification: | Own interest | Assisting a university club | Sports Volunteer Programme | |
| Volunteering | Completion of 12 hours volunteering | |||
| Percentage of cost of qualification funded by AU: | 20%
| 40%*

The SVP is developing and there are plenty of opportunities to work with children - both on campus and in the local community. Whether it's football, rugby, netball, or tennis you want to get involved in, we can find a placement for you!
Although for some of the placements you need to be already qualified, for most all you need is a CRB check before you get involved.
A new scheme this year is on a Tuesday evening (4.30-5.30) with a local youth group, and we'd like to offer the kids an opportunity to try sports they may not have tried before. If you are interested in getting involved, email Naomi at the email address below, or download an application form from the resources section.
